Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born at Winona Minnesota. Parents of Winona Ryder named her for her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was editor and author, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder believes she is Jewish has a connection to Ryder's Jewish father. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder and her family moved to California's Mendocino County at the age of seven. Ryder was seven. In those days, there was no electricity. Ryder was a voracious bookworm and would spend her days reading books because she had no television. Ryder started taking acting classes at American Conservatory Theatre when she reached the age of 12. She landed her debut role on the large screen in 1986 when she was 15 years old. Ryder was bullied throughout her teenage years. Ryder believed that if she became an actor, her bullying was going to be corrected. But it wasn't to come to pass. Still she continued pursuing her goals. Her breakthrough came through Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder continued to play success in roles. In 1993, he was nominated two times for Academy Awards.
