Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia was born and raised in Canada. She is best known to Canadians due to her work as a Canadian actress on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. She also appeared in Venevision television series Cosita linda and Voltea a' que te love. Model and dancer by profession Toubia has also had great success in both of these fields. Montreal born, she spent her early years in Texas. Since her early years she's been studied a variety of styles. At the age of 15 old, she began participating in beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia became famous when she participated in Nuestra Belleza Latina, the Univision pageant program. In an episode from Telemundo's TV show, Telenovela Aurora in 2008, she was a receptionist. In 2015, she appeared in her first movie, the action-drama Tattooed Love. In the film, for her role as Shadowhunters, Shadowhunters, Toubia was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2017. She also won in 2018.
